[One of the things that maked Denmark different from most other nations? It's harder to loom over him because his height is much closer to Sweden's. Sweden manages anyway, just because it is what he usually does without paying attention to it.

...Why is Denmark always in the way? No matter how strong he gets, he never gets away from him. Not fully.]

Because it is.

[ Another thing that makes Denmark different: He never realizes he's being loomed over. He has many feelings towards Sweden, but fear has never, ever been one of them. His grin stretches wider. ]

I don't wanna fight ya, Sweden. It'd be a pain in the ass, and not worth the effort. The Prusso-Danish Empire has and has had Latvia. Ya can claim Estonia if ya want, but push it and we'll push the fuck back.

Both of them 're mine.

[To protect and teach and everything.

Which might be why Sweden is okay with being annoyed by him as long as nothing important comes up. It's nice if once in a while someone doesn't start to get nervous if you're looking at them.]

[ And he takes a step forward, hating that Sweden had grown to be taller. ]

[Okay now. Let's just declare war for real without really saying anything.]

[And there is only one nation around that he'd want in his house. Because Poland (and thus Lithuania as well) no plz thx. And Russia and Prussia are just way too troublesome.]

[ He doesn't get that threat. ]

[This conversation just went totally astray.

...How can they go back to the original subject? WHY CAN'T YOU EVEN PROPERLY DECLARE WAR.]

[ It's a talent he has. You see, he's technically neutral, and one of the terms of his unification is that Prussia is the only one who can declare war (with Denmark's consent). But he's very good at accidentally ruining his own neutrality.

Anyway, he laughs at Sweden's face. Openly. ]

[What is this even officially. Prussia already declared war on Sweden. Or Sweden on Prussia. It was pretty mutual. This will just be the first hostile actions.

And you know. Sweden hasn't left Denmark's house to get treated like this again.

Get a punch right into your face. Or at least it is aimed to not break your nose, but at least make you stagger backwards.]

[ Denmark doesn't know this, and, because he's just that awesome, he honestly figured this was a mostly-friendly chat. After all, he's neutral now. After all, he hasn't seen Sweden in a hundred years, since Kiel.

So he reels back at the punch and is momentarily surprised.

Key word? Moment. Shifts his weight and grabs right back, ducking up close and fast and grabbing at Sweden's tie or shirt collar. His tone cold: ]

The fuck ya think yer doing?

[His spare clothes are a second set of socks and leg warmers. That means that he's still wearing the blue and yellow uniform that he wore when he arrived.]

Stop th't b'havior. 'm not in y'r house anym're.

[Grabbing Denmark's wrist with one hand, his fingers digging into the base of his hand at that spot where you have to open your hand if enough pressure is applied.]

[ So he lets go and promptly uses his left hand to punch at Sweden's face. A little clumsy, since he's right handed, but at this sort of range means it's hard to miss. ]

Yer standing in it right now.

[Close range means that he doesn't miss and that Sweden doesn't have time to dodge, but it also means that there isn't too much force in it. His head flies to the side for a moment, but it isn't nearly enough to more than bruise his cheek and doesn't set him off balance at all.]

I've been 'n y'r soil before w'thout living in y'r house.

[For example a few weeks before he came here.

He shoves Denmark away to be better able to tell his actions.]

[ He stumbles back a step, but he isn't minding the range, either. ]

Declaring war?

[Standing still for the moment, to tell Denmark. This a kind of formal act.]

[ He stands straight and cold and steps back. And again back. And again to the kitchen table, where he knows is a gun. ]

And when ya lose?

[Lunges forward, grabbing for Denmark to drag him to the ground. No matter what you're doing, it looks as if you're getting yourself some kind of weapon.]

[ He catches that a second before Sweden hits him, and he fumbles for whatever is on the table and misses the gun, comes up with his coffee cup. So he hurls the lukewarm liquid at Sweden even as he's knocked down, kicking out at the same time. ]

[It hits Sweden's glasses and he doesn't see very well now with the liquid running down the glass. That doesn't mean that he lets go, or doesn't try to hit Denmark again.]

[ He's pinned, sort of, so tries to knee Sweden in the stomach, using his hands not to deflect the blows, but try and grab something, somewhere, to yank and pull and shove him off. ]

[Denmark can grab some part of the uniform, but Sweden does the same so the shoving off results in them rolling to the side. He gasps for air a bit when Denmark's knee hits him but that's it, not hard enough.]

[ He rolls back, trying to get on top, even for a moment, to look down on Sweden. To look him in the eyes, down at him. ]

I'm.

Goddamn.

Neutral!

Y'r partner declared w'r on m'.

[And Sweden is on top again, at least for now.]

And y' violated m' territory.
